Loading Dock Ice Skating Rink

As the waters begin to freeze at the confluence of the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers, the Loading Dock Ice Rink offers a place like no other to enjoy winter right on the riverfront. Embrace the cold with that special someone or friends and family, lace up a pair of ice skates and glide into smiles, laughs and unforgettable memories.
The rink is housed inside the historic Boatworks building at The Loading Dock which has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland offering ice skating, s’mores tables, and a full menu and bar that is sure to entertain adults and kids alike. It is the ideal spot to savor the crisp air and to take a step back in time and discover that the building has a storied history including serving as a boat factory and, once upon a time, was a button factory.
Glide round and round the rink but be sure to take a break and step outside and enjoy the winter riverfront scenes. You might catch a glimpse of a towboat and barge running the rivers or an American Bald Eagle, or a Trumpeter Swan.

Saturday: Noon – 10 pm
