April 22 - August 6, 2022
“Elsah Postcard” is the theme of The Village of Elsah Museum’s 2022 Annual Photography Exhibit. The purpose of this annual exhibit is to celebrate and foster an appreciation of the beauty and unique qualities of Elsah and the immediate area in every season. Each year the Museum chooses a theme designed to bring out a different aspect of Elsah’s surroundings.
The 2022 Village of Elsah Purchase Prize was given to Patricia Ott of Godfrey for “Welcome to Elsah.” The judge was Erica Popp, an artist and photography teacher. She commented on the high quality of the submitted images. She felt that the winner gave a clear message encouraging winter visitors to come to Elsah and see the Eagles.
In order to encourage an appreciation of the beauty of the entire area within and in the immediate area of the corporate limits of the Village, a first-place purchase prize is provided by The Village of Elsah and the Green Tree Inn.
The exhibit is held at The Village of Elsah Museum. Visitors to the exhibit will also find other exhibits covering the varied architectural styles found throughout the town, Principia College, nearby New Piasa Chautauqua, and tools and other implements used by past residents.
While the Great Godfrey Maze is the main attraction, it is not the only thing to do. As always there is the COW TRAIN –– for $2 per ride, the CORN CRIB — free for ages 10 and under, the HAY WAGON –– for $2 per ride, the JUMPING PILLOW — for $2 per ride and the NEWEST ATTRACTION — the VORTEX MACHINE $2 per entrance!
After making it through the corn maze, guests can treat themselves to the fully stocked concessions stand. The organizers can provide entire maze rentals, day field trips, school days at the maze, school nights at the maze, and group rentals. Please call 618-466-1483 for reservations.
