Arturo Alonzo Sandoval’s vibrant, large scale, interlaced and appliquéd panels are layered with unexpected materials that capture light and movement. Sandoval is a fiber artist and educator known for his ingenious use of recycled industrial packing material, automotive textiles and microfilm. His work involves woven or interlaced webs that provide an arrangement for his design concepts that are personalized into a visual language that evokes imagery of the sky, water, landscape, and pattern structures.
