Lauderdale County Tomato Festival

The Tomato Festival is a two day celebration paying honor to the area’s tomato growers. Each year the local Chamber of Commerce honors the Tomato Farmer of the Year at Opening Ceremonies. Activities vary from the festival to festival. Past activities include: carnival rides, petting zoo, games, food, general and craft vendors, live music, tomato contest, and much more!

Kenton White Squirrel Celebration

Family and patriotic activities come together in this old-fashioned Fourth of July and White Squirrel Festival. Visitors are invited to bring cameras to snap photos of the town’s legendary White Squirrels. Activities begin with a morning parade, activities in the square during the day, street dance in the evening , and conclude with a fireworks display at dusk.

This 4th of July homecoming and picnic is a local tradition since the early 20th century. The day begins with a parade that is followed by activities at the picnic grounds such as an old fashioned barbeque, various vendors, entertainment at the bandstand along with speeches from local, state and national politicians, a carnival, beauty contests, and fireworks.

Celebrate Munford and the City of Munford holds their annual fireworks show, in celebration of Independence Day. Attendees start gathering at 8:30pm and the fireworks show begins, as soon as it gets dark. Food trucks will be on hand to supply attendees with food and refreshments.
