This egg hunt is held on the lawn of the Hunter-Dawson Home State Historic Site. Bring your own basket and search for more than 1,500 candy-filled eggs. Children will be divided into four age groups with prizes being awarded after the hunt. Guests are responsible for bringing their own basket or bag. In case of inclement weather, the hunt may be cancelled.

The Atoka BBQ Fest features two different divisions, MBN Pro and Challenger, as well as an Anything But contest for sauce, chicken, beef and dessert. Along with the BBQ competition, there will be vendors, a Kids Cook-Off, a Corn Hole Tournament, the Mayor's Pie Challenge, a Car Show, the Kids Fun Zone, entertainment and live music.

The Covington Bar-B-Que Festival, home of The World's Oldest Bar-B-Que cooking contest, is held each year in Cobb Parr Memorial Park in October. Events for this festival include a Memphis in May sanctioned Bar-B-Que cooking contest, a demolition derby, arts and crafts exhibits, a truck pull, live bands and many other fun activities.
