Come and enjoy a fun-filled weekend to renew old acquaintances and make new ones in Griggsville. Established in 1888, the Western Illinois Fair is one of the oldest county fairs in the state of Illinois, located in the heart of Pike County, Illinois. Normally held each third week in June, the Western Illinois Fair hosts grandstand events such as queen pageant and princess contests, demolition derbies, truck and tractor pulls, livestock exhibits, and the annual School Bus Demolition Derby, one of the most unique county fair events in the region. On Friday evening enjoy the pageants and contests then return on Saturday for the magnificent mile parade and musical. are open to Residents from Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Morgan, Pike and Scott are invited to show their work in the arts and crafts exhibits.
