Quincy Preserves, Inc. conducts this annual neighborhood walking tour that features homes and buildings of architectural and historical significance. The tour highlights Quincy’s rich architectural history from the late Victorian through Mid-Twentieth century. As they tour these homes visitors will be able to follow the developing architectural and decorating trends, from the extravagance and exuberance of the Victorian and Queen Anne styles to the equally well thought out but more restrained Bungalow and Art Moderne. In designing these homes, Quincy architects explored the use of light and inner and outer architectural details and design to create new and personal living spaces.
