The Alton Symphony Orchestra continues its current season with a concert featuring music from The Sound of Music, Swan Lake Overture, Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story. With performances from the seniors of the Alton Youth Symphony and our Marie Stillwell Concerto Competition Winner, Aiden Moon!

The Alton Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra founded in 1946, consisting of professional and volunteer musicians. ASO’s concert season includes four subscription concerts, three children’s concerts for the area’s 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and a special holiday concert for the entire family. ASO is considered a premier orchestra in southern Illinois, often featuring local and world renowned music ensembles and soloists. The orchestra’s music director/ conductor is Maestro Shane Williams whose charismatic presence brings to life a creative musical vision of composers and styles.
