Start the new year off on the right foot with a hike along scenic Frenchman's Bluff Trail in Cuivre River State Park. Visitors can join the naturalist at the Stone Shelter parking lot for a 1.5-mile strenuous hike. This popular trail follows Geode Creek for a short distance before winding up a hill and emerging on top of Frenchman's Bluff. This 120-foot-high bluff, formed in Burlington limestone, offers outstanding vistas of the Cuivre River valley.
Pets are welcome but must be on a leash. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Restrooms will not be available at the trailhead – vault toilets are open at the equestrian area, the Hilltop Shelter, and in the campground across from the playground.
Times: 1 pm - 3 pm
Free. Registration for this event is required.
