Crowds continue to grow at this annual festival, as people come from all over Jefferson County and St. Louis County to enjoy a celebration of hometown fun, historic pioneer demonstrations, entertainment, and home-baked goodies.
The event is sponsored by the City of Byrnes Mill in partnership with the Byrnes Mill Historic Commission and the Northwest Historic and Preservation Society. “The Fall Festival is just a wonderful way for people to come together as a city and enjoy their community,'” said Mayor Susan Gibson.
Dozens of vendors will fill the meadow, offering wood crafts such as birdhouses, baskets and cedar furniture, hand-crafted jewelry, tooth fairy pillows and scented soaps and candles. Festival-goers will be able to taste artisan, local honey products, jams, jellies and baked goods. In addition, there will be kids’ activities, live music, a bounce house, free pony rides, and plenty of great concessions. It’s a great fun day for the entire family!
The Historic Hagemeister House will be home to a hub of activity. The house will harken back to days of old with an assortment of pioneer demonstrations. Activities will include: spinning and weaving, basket weaving and caning chairs, Scrimshaw artist and quilter, rope making, shoe cobbler, Jefferson County Bee Association, Jefferson County Genealogy Society, Civil War Living History Encampment, and live music.
