Maeystown is a historic town settled by German immigrants in the 19th century. Fruehlingsfest is an annual spring festival in Germany and the community celebrates its roots by holding its own version. See the town as it spring into bloom held rain or shine on the first Sunday in May. Fruehlingsfest features unique antiques from some of the finest dealers in the Midwest and has rapidly become one of the best and highest anticipated antique shows in the Midwest. In addition, various local nurseries will be selling annuals, perennials, and herbs. A variety of foods and refreshments will be offered at including bratwurst, barbecue, potato pancakes, kettle korn, funnel cakes, and strawberry shortcake.
