Description: The German Cultural Society hosts their annual Kirchweihfest (Church Blessing) to commemorate their migration to the St. Louis area in the 1800s. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated in German beginning at 11am complete with a Damenchor leading everyone in song. Traditional Hungarian and German dinners will be available for purchase beginning at 12:30 pm until to 5 pm. Music will be provided by the Deutschmeister Brass Band and everyone will be treated to a dance performance by the German Cultural Society's Folk Dancing groups. Also featured will be an an exhibition of articles made by the Society’s Arts & Crafts Group.
