Description: From using plant materials for medicines to salvaging animal bones for utensils, recycling was also a vital part of farm life and survival. In recognition of Farmers and to celebrate Earth Day, come and visit the Historic Daniel Boone Home at Lindenwood Park where the frontier comes to life. Browse produce and plants from local farmers and artisans who rely on many of the same methods the pioneers once did. Try hands on activities such as candle dipping, butter making, corn grinding, and tomahawk throwing to learn about the Farming Ways of the Frontier.
