HARVEST FESTIVAL

The town's annual Harvest Festival features a
picnic and concert Friday night in the vineyards. On Saturday many of the
businesses in Augusta are holding "open houses" throughout the
day with special discounts, guest experts making presentations,
and wine tastings.

Daniel Boone Home and Boonesfield Village come to life for a
fall festival. Artisans, music, historic encampment, a black

life on the early Missouri frontier and learn about the Boone
legacy.

CHRISTMAS WALK

Over
1,500 luminaries light your way through historic Augusta the
first two Friday evenings of December. This annual event has
more than a 25 year history and has become a tradition for the
Augusta community to host.
A complimentary Trolley Shuttle will take you through
town to visit the many shops and antique stores, wineries and
brewery, restaurants and food stands. There is Christmas
caroling and a giant Christmas tree at a local church. Enjoy the
challenge of gathering items from all the shops in the Holiday
Scavenger Hunt and turn your answers in at the History Museum
and register for prizes from local merchants. The town square
features a horse drawn carriage ride around the heart of town, a
toasty bon fire with Chestnuts roasting and marshmallows
toasting, and Santa Claus..

Augusta Plein Air Event that has become one of the largest plein
air events in the Midwest. In previous years over 100 artists from
6 states participated in this 10-day event. For the artists
there will be a contest with prizes and an opportunity to sell
their art. For the public this is an opportunity to chat with the
artists and watch them work during a variety of special events.
There will be an art sale and auction on Saturday, May 1st.

race your way 18 miles down river to the end of the race at

Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary in
West Alton, MO. Clubs, shops and spectators are invited to attend. In
addition to the race, there will social paddles, skills clinics, family
paddles, food and music.
