Every fall the Pike County Color Drive provides visitors with
the opportunity to see the beauty of the rural areas of the
county bathed in the splendor of autumn. Nearly every community
in the county participates in Illinois’ premier countywide
event. Each community provides a unique roster of events,
activities, vendors, crafts, food, and exhibits for the general
public to take part in. The county’s historic towns transport
its visitors to a time when one-room schoolhouses and country
churches dotted the landscape. Watch horse-drawn plows in the
fields, take a break and carve a pumpkin, or see cider and apple
