Location: Fort Pillow State Historic Park, 3122 Park Road, meet at the Frank Garner Museum, Henning, TN

Date: Tuesday, January 1, 2019

Time: 11 am - 2 pm

Description: Come out to kick off a healthy start to a new year. We will be doing so with a five mile hike along some of our 1861 breastworks built by Confederate soldiers. These earthworks have managed to stand the test of time as they are all original. We will be talking about the history of Fort Pillow as well as the wildlife that calls this park home. This hike is moderate in difficulty and all ages are invited! We will be meeting at the park museum at 11 am and be sure to bring appropriate clothing for the weather and a hiking stick if preferred. Snacks and water will be provided to all hikers.
