Winding through the swelling hills of Southeast Missouri,

state’s most attractive countryside - fields and pastureland and stately
stands of timber. Along the trail are four wineries, alike in that they
all are family owned and operated, but each with its unique appeal and
offering a diversity of wines from dry and semi-dry to sweet and fruity.
There’s something for everyone! Three wineries have combined to offer A
Taste of Wine & Countries. Enjoy fine wine perfectly paired with a
special food pairing at each of the four wineries on the Mississippi
River Hills Wine Trail. A souvenir wine glass is included with ticket
purchase. Wineries participating are Winery, the Barrens Winery, Apple
Creek Vineyard & Winery, and Herman Winery.
Mississippi River Hills Wine Trail is Missouri’s eighth and
newest wine trail, established in 2012. It stretches 40 miles, from the
center of Perry County southward through northern Cape Girardeau County.
While there is beautiful scenery to behold, the trail has easy access to
U.S. Interstate 55 and U.S. Highway 61 and is only 75 miles south of St.
Louis and less than 10 miles north of Cape Girardeau.
Admission. Reduced rates for designated drivers.
