wood stoves, cider fresh from the apple press, and a children’s
area.

beginning of the summer season in the beautiful Downtown Historic
District. Each year, the festival will focus on one of Mark Twain’s
beloved books – 2009 brings “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s
Court” to Main Street. Enjoy tasty food, art, crafts, free
performances, wine, blues and more! There will be something for
everyone.

Sponsored by the Hannibal Jaycees, this family oriented event is
now in its 50th year. Activities include frog jumping, mud
volleyball, Tom and Becky Contest, parade, Tomboy Sawyer Contest,
10-kilometer run, arts and crafts show and fireworks launched from
the banks of the Mississippi River. Highlights include National
Fence Painting Contest and a huge fireworks display launched from
the banks of the Mississippi River on the evening of the Fourth.
