“We Stand United” a puppetry group founded by Marsha Mayfield. The group will kick-off Juneteenth commemorating African American history – an event for all the family.

Wednesday, June 19

A film featuring Reverend Dr. William Barber, his presentation “Jesus Fought Injustice, He Did Not Join It” is from his Moral Movement series.

Thursday, June 20

Sponsor: Mark Twain Museum, Music Under The Stars Food Vendor: Jim’s Journey
Location: Hill Street in front of the Boyhood Home

Jim’s Journey invites you to this weekly free summer concert sponsored by the Mark Twain Museum. The performance will feature favorites by R&B artist, James Armstrong. Jim’s Journey takes your taste buds on a soulful trip with Nehemiah, the Grill Master who will have plates available. Kids In Motion will be serving free cake to all. Bring your lawn chairs and prepare to celebrate emancipationat this family-oriented Juneteenth celebration. Additional Juneteenth activities are planned.
