The photographs entered for the North American
Indian Photography Contest will be displayed. The contest, sponsored by the
Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site and Cahokia Mounds Museum Society, is
open to both amateurs and professionals and seeks photographs that transcend
simple snapshots and evoke the spirit of the North American Indian: people,
character, events, objects, symbols, environment, past or present culture,
and soul.

Great Rivers Choral Society, Inc. will perform the musical "How Mr. Lincoln
Got His Whiskers". This is a family oriented performance of an original
musical by local artist, Mary Kay Mosby that is based on an historical event
in the life of Abraham Lincoln. It
will feature choral members and a group of children dancers and singers and
will include period costumes, instrumental music from a fiddle and a
dulcimer, dancing, a children’s ensemble, and an adult choir. In addition to
the musical the performance will include music by Stephen Foster.
