Center for American Archeology is celebrating the 40th Anniversary
of the Koster Site excavation - the "Big Dig" that showed the world
the fascinating lives of ancient Illinoisans. Tens of thousands of
people have toured the site from 1969-1979. The event features
special exhibits, guest presentations, and other activities to
celebrate this important discovery. This anniversary event kames for
a fun day trip that combines archeology, awesome fall colors, and
Calhoun County apples.
