Gather in Elsah for the Annual Fall Quilt Retreat. This year's
retreat will be an Open Sew from 9:30 am. to 8 pm. The retreat also
includes an Elsah House Tour, Pottery Tour, meals catered by My Just
Desserts (Three lunches & two dinners) and a guest speaker
presentation by Debra Henninger. Debra's book, Hobo Quilts, has

Quilts. Debra's book, Hobo Quilts, has historic photos and wonderful
vignettes from letter written by hobos of the 1930s or people who
fed hobos. The letters are poignant and insightful. In addition, she
has taken more than 55 hobo symbols and created original quilt
blocks from them. The book also contains 20 original projects made
from the hobo blocks. The program includes a catered lunch by My

exercise and skill building. Program
instructors provide a supportive, safe, nonthreatening and noncompetitive
learning environment. The
program is open to all women age 18 or older.
